Mexico, Feb 25 (Entravision) .- a Mexican judge ordered today the initiation of criminal proceedings against the drug trafficker Joaquin “el Chapo” Guzman, leader until his arrest of the Sinaloa cartel, “by its probable involvement in the crime of organized crime” for the purposes of drug trafficking, informed the Council of the Federal Judiciary (CJF) .
The Third District Court in Criminal Matters in the State of Mexico pointed out that, at 1330 local time (1930 GMT) “issued formal arrest warrant” against Guzman and informed him that has three working days “to appeal this resolution in the event of disagreement” .
The court explained that in 2011 the Public Ministry (Attorney) requested a warrant for the arrest of Guzman in a cause open That year against the hood and other people by organized crime to commit crimes against the health (drug trafficking) .
The order was granted on 2 June 2011 and was met with the capture of Chapo the last February 22 in an operation launched by an elite corps of the Mexican Navy carried out in the port of Mazatlan, in the northwestern state of Sinaloa.
The February 23 Guzman gave his preparatory statement in relation to this cause, a “procedural act that has been checked with the inherent requirements” that establishes the Constitution, he added the CJF.
The Fifth District Court of Criminal Proceedings in the Federal State of Mexico should also resolve today if ordered the beginning Proceedings against the hood for another charge for the crimes of organized crime and drug trafficking.
The Chapo, who had been converted from years ago in the most notorious sought of the world, paid on Sunday his first statement to purpose of these charges in a proceeding commenced on 7 July 2009.
The CJF noted that Guzman, who has six other arrest warrants against her accumulated since escaped from prison in 2001, is being held from the last Saturday in the prison of the Highlands, located in Almoloya de Juarez, in the State of Mexico.
The leader of the Sinaloa cartel had escaped from a high security prison in January 2001, when Ruled Vicente Fox, which enabled him to return to their criminal activities for thirteen years.
